HAVERSACK ITEMS

TINWARE & EATING UTENSILS

Tin vs Stainless Steel. They did not have stainless steel during the Civil War. Issued tin items were used daily and cared for by oiling them. Many reenactors have switched to stainless steel because they do not like the taste of tin, or they do not have the time to properly oil their tinware before they put it away. Therefore, we offer many items in tin or stainless steel.
